About RapidHeat Ireland

We help Irish households stay warm in the rooms they actually use.

RapidHeat Ireland is the official Irish online store for RapidHeat, a plug-in wall-socket ceramic heater. We focus on offering a practical way to warm a small room without turning on whole-house heating when you only need comfort in one space. The heater is sold online through rapidheatie.com, with euro pricing, free delivery across the Republic of Ireland and email support.

We know that energy costs matter to Irish households. Our aim is to give people straightforward product information so they can decide whether a compact supplementary heater suits their home and habits. RapidHeat is designed for a small room, up to about 12 m², and should not be treated as a replacement for a home's main heating system.

What RapidHeat is

RapidHeat is a ceramic plug-in heater with PTC ceramic plates and a quiet fan. It has low and high power settings of 400W and 800W, an adjustable thermostat with LED display, a programmable timer and a remote control. It also includes an antimicrobial air filter, overheat protection and automatic shut-off. It uses an Irish/UK Type G plug and operates at about 45 dB.

These features describe what the product offers; they are not a promise that it will suit every home or room. Room size, insulation, draughts, ceiling height and the outside temperature all affect how quickly a space warms and how long heat is retained. It is not suitable on its own for whole-house heating, large open-plan rooms or poorly insulated conservatories.

Our promises to customers

  • Clear pricing: prices are shown in euro and include VAT. We state delivery charges clearly; delivery to the Republic of Ireland is free.
  • Practical order information: dispatch is usually within 1–2 working days, with delivery generally 2–5 working days after dispatch and tracking emailed when the order ships.
  • Responsive support: email support@rapidheatie.com and we aim to reply within 1 working day.
  • A clear return route: our 30-day money-back guarantee from delivery sits alongside statutory consumer rights.
  • Honest limitations: we explain what a small plug-in heater can and cannot do, including safe-use limits.

We do not claim that a small heater can heat every room or that it will automatically reduce a household's total bill. It uses electricity, and the result depends on where, when and how it is used. Our shipping and returns pages explain the relevant processes in full.

How to think about running costs

Running costs depend on the heater's power, the time it is switched on and the electricity rate on your tariff. To estimate energy use, multiply power in kilowatts by hours used; multiply the resulting kilowatt-hours by your price per kWh. For example, at €0.35/kWh, 400W (0.4kW) used for one hour costs about €0.14. At 800W, one hour costs about €0.28. Four hours a day on low is about €0.56 daily, or approximately €17 over a 30-day month.

These are examples, not a guarantee of a bill outcome. A resistive electric heater turns roughly one unit of electricity into one unit of heat; savings do not come from magical efficiency. Any potential saving comes from heating only the room being used, choosing a lower setting where comfortable and switching the heater off when it is not needed. Your tariff and actual use will change the result.

Safety comes first

RapidHeat is not IP-rated, so it must not be used in bathroom zones or wet areas. Do not use an extension lead or cover the heater. Keep it clear of curtains, bedding and other items that could obstruct it, and follow the instructions supplied with the product. It is a supplementary heater, not a substitute for appropriate home heating or safety advice.

Where to find help

How we write our guides

We want our guides to help you make a decision, not push you towards a purchase that does not fit. We use the product information available to us alongside general, established knowledge about electric heating. We distinguish product specifications from general guidance and avoid presenting assumptions about your home as facts.

When we explain running costs, we show the assumptions. Our examples use an electricity price of €0.35 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The calculation is watts divided by 1,000, multiplied by hours used, then multiplied by €0.35 per kWh. So 400 watts × 1 hour equals 0.4 kWh, costing €0.14 at that assumed rate. Your own tariff may be different, and actual usage can vary as the thermostat responds to the room.

Our honesty policy is simple: we do not publish fake reviews, invented ratings or testimonials, or claims that we cannot support. We do not say that the product saves a fixed percentage of energy or guarantees a particular bill. Where the heater has real limitations, such as not being suitable for wet areas or whole-house heating, we say so.

We review these guides each heating season and update them when relevant product information or guidance changes. A guide is general information, not an assessment of your home's wiring, insulation or heating needs. If something is unclear, please contact us.
